KABUL – The Islamic Development Bank plans to lend 5 billion AFN (US$74 million) to help construct the Kabul Ring Road, Khaama Press reported Sunday (September 17).
The 95km-long road will take five years to build, said Finance Ministry official Mustafa Arya, adding that the total cost is expected to be about 7.5 billion AFN ($110 million).
The road will link the Kabul-Kandahar, Kabul-Logar and Kabul-Balkh highways, he said.
