KABUL -- The Afghan government is working on a plan that could lower the cost of internet services by up to 80% in the next three months, TOLO News reported Tuesday (October 10), citing officials at the Afghan Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT).
According to a decree by President Ashraf Ghani during a meeting last week, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology is currently working on the plan, said MCIT spokesperson Najib Nangiyal.
Eight months ago, the MCIT vowed to decrease costs, but Kabul residents claim no changes in price or quality ever occurred.
