NANGARHAR -- Operatives from Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security (NDS) have arrested two Taliban militants in separate operations in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Monday (February 5).
Mawlavi Rafiullah, the Taliban leader in charge of recruitment in the province, was arrested in the 4th police district of Jalalabad, the governor's office said in a statement.
Afghan security forces also arrested a Taliban member identified as Mullah Sabir separately in Sherzad District. He was actively involved in destructive activities in that district, the statement said.
The two detainees confessed, according to the statement.
