FARYAB -- Afghan air strikes killed 31 Taliban militants in Faryab Province, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement on Tuesday (August 6).
The strikes hit the militants on Sunday night (August 4) in Bilchiragh District, the army said. At least 20 other militants were wounded.
The strikes destroyed a hideout and several Taliban vehicles, it added.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
