32 ISIL fighters killed in Zabul, Nangarhar

JALALABAD -- Afghan security forces killed at least 17 "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) militants in Zabul Province, Khaama Press reported Sunday (March 5).

The dead militants included a commander, Gul Agha, said provincial police chief Mirwais Noorzai.

A drone Saturday (March 4) in Achin District, Nangarhar Province, killed at least 15 ISIL militants, provincial governor's spokesman Ataullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News Sunday.

One Afghan Local Police officer was killed by a roadside bomb in Surkh Rod District Sunday, added Khogyani.
