KANDAHAR -- At least 12 security personnel were killed Wednesday (September 27) when a militant driving an explosives-packed Humvee blew himself up in Kandahar Province, police said Thursday (September 28).
The incident took place in Marouf District when the bomber blew himself up outside the district compound, confirmed Kandahar police spokesman Zia Durani.
The Taliban took responsibility.
