MAZAR-E-SHARIF -- Afghan forces repelled a Taliban attack in Khwaja Sabz Posh District, Faryab Province, killing at least 6 militants and wounding 10 others, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Wednesday (October 3).
The insurgents attacked a checkpoint Tuesday (October 2) night at about 9pm, said the statement.
Two police officers were killed during the clash, which continued until 2am, according to the statement.
