PAKTIA -- Afghan forces killed a senior Haqqani Network leader in an operation in Sayed Karam District, Paktia Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Wednesday (May 1).
The suspect was identified as Sher Zaman, also known as Mohammad Omar, said the statement, without providing the exact timing of the operation.
He ran the network's intelligence activities in Sayed Karam District, the statement said.
Three other militants were wounded.
