KABUL -- At least eight Afghan security personnel were killed in recent fighting with militants in Badakhshan and Parwan provinces, media reported Tuesday (January 3).
At least six security men -- four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and two policemen -- were killed during a clearing operation on the outskirts of Faizabad, Badakhshan Province, a source said Tuesday (January 3), according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
Separately, militants killed two policemen in a gun battle in Charikar, Parwan Province, Monday (January 2) provincial police chief Mohammad Zaman Mamuzai said, TOLO News reported.
