KABUL -- At least 54 militants were killed in fighting in Helmand Province, Khaama Press reported Sunday (February 5).
Afghan troops killed the 54 Taliban in joint operations in Garmsir District in a 24-hour span, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.
Police in Achin District, Nangarhar Province, arrested four suspected members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), provincial police said, according to another February 5 Khaama Press report.
