HERAT -- Schoolgirls in Herat have developed 13 computer and mobile phone programmes to benefit tourists and visitors, TOLO News reported Tuesday (March 7).
The software is meant for tourist and local use at hotels, hospitals, libraries and ancient sites, said Zainab Amini, a representative of the schoolgirls. One of their programmes has been nominated for the Asian division of an international software tournament.
The programmes will save tourists in Herat time and money, said Farkhunda Ramazani, a member of the Herat schoolgirl team.
One of their programmes is called Tourist Software and enables travellers to find tourist sites anywhere in the province.
