ISIL burns down Sufi shrines, destroys graveyards in Jawzjan

SHEBERGHAN, Afghanistan -- "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) militants destroyed two graveyards and set two shrines on fire in Darzab District, Jawzjan Province, Thursday (March 9), officials said.

The desecration took place in Sufi Dost Mohammad and Bibi Marym villages, Jawzjan governor's spokesman Mohammad Reza Ghafoori told Pajhwok Afghan News.

ISIL does not even spare the dead, he said.
