KABUL -- Afghanistan's top three security officials Monday (March 27) survived a vote of confidence in the lower chamber of parliament.
The chamber summoned Defence Minister Abdullah Habibi, Minister of Interior Taj Muhammad Jahid and National Directorate of Security chief Masoom Stanekzai to testify about various terrorist acts, including the March 8 attack on a military hospital in Kabul, which killed more than 50 people.
Habibi secured 106 votes of confidence, Jahid 120 and Stanekzai 129. The chamber has 249 members.
