KABUL -- Security forces repulsed an attack on Sar-e-Pul's Sayad District Monday (April 17), killing at least eight attackers, including a prominent Taliban commander, TOLO News reported.
The militants mounted an attack on the district from three different directions but security forces promptly retaliated and pushed them back, Sar-e-Pul governor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat confirmed.
One civilian was also killed and four were wounded during the clash, TOLO News reported Tuesday (April 18).
