KANDAHAR -- Unidentified gunmen assassinated the Kandahar governor's media advisor Sunday (May 7), said officials.
Ghafoor Feroz was shot in the Najib Nemro area of the provincial capital, said provincial governor's spokesman Samim Khpalwak, according to the Afghanistan Times.
Feroz had been media advisor to Governor Mohammad Humayun Azizi for a year.
