KABUL -- Eight Afghan journalists have been killed in the past month, arousing concern about journalists' security, reported Pajhwok Afghan News Wednesday (June 14).
Two terrorist incidents in Kabul and Jalalabad accounted for all the deaths, the Federation of Afghan Media Organisations and Journalists said Wednesday, referring to a May 17 suicide bombing in Jalalabad and the May 31 Kabul truck bombing that killed more than 150 individuals.
Two members of the federation spoke out at a Wednesday news conference in Kabul to cite those casualties and to seek more protection from the government.
