ZABUL -- Three children and 18 police officers were killed in three terrorist incidents in Zabul Province Wednesday (August 16), TOLO News reported Thursday (August 17).
Eight police officers were killed in a Taliban attack on a check-post on the Kabul-Kandahar highway. Militants also stormed outposts in Shamlezai District, killing 10 border police officers and kidnapping two, said a security source.
Seven missiles fired from an unknown location hit various parts of Qalat, the provincial capital, killing at least three children, officials confirmed Thursday.
