KABUL -- Afghan special police arrested five individuals suspected of being involved in terrorist activities in Kabul, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Monday (August 19).
The operations took place Sunday night (August 18) in different parts of the city, the ministry said.
Police seized weapons belonging to the militants in the operations, it added.
Separately, an Afghan air strike on Sunday killed a Taliban local commander along with his bodyguard in Mosahi District, Kabul Province, the ministry said.
