KABUL -- An Afghan air strike killed more than 45 members of the Taliban's Red Unit in Herat Province, the Defence Ministry said in a statement on Thursday (October 24).
The strike hit the militants Wednesday (October 23) night in Chesht District, the ministry said. At least 11 other Taliban fighters were wounded.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
