KABUL -- A roadside bomb killed at least five children Sunday (October 27) in Faryab Province, officials said.
Provincial police spokesman Abdul Karim Yoresh blamed the Taliban for planting the device near the provincial capital of Maimana, after Afghan security forces beat back the insurgents during an overnight attack.
The Taliban did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to AFP.
