Car bombing foiled in Kunduz

KABUL -- A deadly car bombing was thwarted in Kunduz province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said, according to media.

Taliban insurgents were looking to detonate a car bomb in the 3rd police district of Kunduz city but security forces foiled the attempt, the MoI said, Khaama Press reported Sunday (February 12).

Meanwhile, Afghan security forces Sunday (February 12) detained a Taliban bomb maker when he was planting a roadside bomb on a highway in Bala Buluk district, Farah province, the MoI said, according to Afghanistan Times.
