MAIDAN WARDAK -- One al-Qaeda member was among 32 militants killed in various parts of Afghanistan, according to media.
Six militants, including the al-Qaeda insurgent, were killed in an air strike in Jaghatoo District, Maidan Wardak Province, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Saturday (June 24), according to Khaama Press.
Five more militants were killed in raids in Kandahar and Kunar provinces, added the MoD.
Troops killed 21 more militants in 12 provinces, said the MoD separately Sunday (June 25), according to Pajhwok Afghan News reported.
