'Bacha bazi' becomes crime in Afghan penal code

KABUL -- Afghanistan has included "bacha bazi" as a punishable offence in its revised penal code, said Justice Minister Abdul Basir Anwar during a Kabul news conference Thursday (July 20), according to Khaama Press.

Criminalising bacha bazi -- a widespread problem in Afghanistan -- was a major commitment that Kabul made during the 2014 London Conference on Afghanistan, said Anwar.

Sodomy (bacha bazi-homo) is considered a punishable crime in the constitution of Afghanistan, but the question is that, who will catch the criminals?
